Recovery Procedure

This timeline outlines the steps for recovering Cosmos funds with Cosmoshield. If you need assistance, our team is available 24/7—just create an account to chat with one of our agents. For less urgent inquiries, feel free to reach out via email at cosmoshield@interbloc.org.

The Scam
Transfer all liquid funds to a new wallet
Check the compromised wallet and transfer any remaining liquid funds to a wallet with a new mnemonic phrase. Make sure to check each coin or blockchain network where you may have funds, as scammers often overlook some .
Locked Funds
Be aware of your locked or staked funds
Locked or staked assets can’t be withdrawn right away, which means they stay in your wallet. Scammers may initiate the unbonding process, but this delay provides you more time to secure and recover your funds.
Recovery preparation
Sign up and verify yourself
To use our Cosmoshield recovery service, start by creating an account. Before recovering your funds, we will verify that you are the wallet owner. This involves uploading screenshots that show where you purchased your funds and agreeing to our Terms of Service. You can complete the verification on the "Verification" page.
Recovery scheduling
Add your compromised wallet(s) and schedule the recoveries
After verifying your account, we’ll need the details of your compromised wallet. First, provide the mnemonic or private key, which we require to access your wallet and submit recovery transactions. Once you've added the wallet on the "Wallet" page, you can also add the compromised Cosmos address. The system will automatically schedule your recovery, and you’ll see it appear at the top of the wallet page. Finally, provide your secure address where we will send the recovered funds.
The Recovery
Cosmoshield Asset Recovery
For every unbonding you’ve listed in your Wallet page, we will attempt to recover the associated funds. These funds will be sent to our wallet for processing, where we will deduct the pre-agreed fee before forwarding the remaining coins to your designated wallet.
The Aftermath
Take security precautions
It’s important to understand how the scam occurred so you can prevent it in the future. If you need help identifying what went wrong or figuring out the best ways to protect yourself moving forward, feel free to reach out to our support team at any time. We’re here to guide you and answer any questions you have.
